Sometimes mental healthcare can feel slow. But it doesn’t have to!
Maybe you are…
Struggling with painful experience or past trauma
Some experiences can impact us more than we expected. It can shake your world. Maybe you are having trouble sleeping or focusing at work. Perhaps you notice feeling set off more easily than usual or feeling more disconnected from the people and activities that you love. Sometimes even experiences from our childhoods can begin to affect us, even when they’ve happened years ago. Whether a painful event has happened recently or in the past, you want help to feel more like yourself.
A Professional dealing with anxiety & overwhelm
You work hard in your career helping others, but you’d be lying if you said it didn’t affect you and your own wellbeing. Lately you’re more tired, easily flustered or frustrated, and your heart is less in it. You want to feel like yourself again and to be able to approach your profession with the passion, energy and purpose that you used to. You want help to work through some difficult things that have impacted you and made showing up at work more difficult than it used to be.
A College or Grad Student trying to find balance
You’re in an academic program (or you’re about to be) and you want to be able to show up and shine. There are so many things flying through your mind and so much pressure on your shoulders - sometimes you feel lost or totally off base. You want to succeed academically, you want to fit in with friends, and have fun, but it seems like there are so many unwritten rules and you don’t always know what they are. You want to believe in yourself but the stress of it all has you questioning who you are and if you can really do all the things you’ve been dreaming about.
An Adult Living with Chronic Illness & Pain
You know that you are more than your illness, but everything in your life seems to be focused on your health, your body, and how you’re feeling. Even though most days you’d love to have the luxury of thinking about anything but that. You have trouble knowing how you will feel from day to day (or minute to minute) and what you can handle. You know that mental health and physical health are connected and you want help to feel better in any way, shape, or form. You want to get relief from the pain and see yourself in a new light.
EMDR Intensives can help.
EMDR is incredibly powerful and the intensive format takes it to a whole new level.
What is an EMDR Intensive?
EMDR speeds up the therapy process and EMDR intensives have the capacity to accelerate the healing process while offering an individualized, tailored approach just for you.
EMDR Intensives include. . .
-
Prior to the EMDR Intensive, you will receive a custom treatment workbook that prepares you for the Intensive Therapy Experience. It includes information about what to expect, an exploration of your goals and what you hope to see change, and what has happened in your life that may be keeping you stuck. This workbook will be submitted and reviewed by me prior to the Pre-Intensive Session allowing more depth and focus during the times we spend face-to-face.
-
During the Pre-Intensive Session we will review the information that you shared in the Intensive Workbook. We will look at the pieces of the puzzle from your past that have established patterns in your present. We will identify the areas that we want to focus on during the EMDR Intensive Sessions. We will also look at the current stressors in your life and what helps (or does not help you) in the moments that you are feeling stressed, worried, or triggered.
-
The Intensive Sessions are where the majority of the therapeutic work takes place. At the start of the session we will check in and see how you are doing. The connection and trust that we share will guide us through the sessions, allowing us to communicate about when to take a break or when things are going well. During the sessions, we will use EMDR to build your resources and strengths as well as process the painful experiences or beliefs that are impacting your life.
-
The Post-Intensive Session is designed for us to reflect on the intensive session and highlight the moments that felt most impactful. I will check in with you about the progress that was made and see how you have been feeling or functioning outside of the therapy room. We will also discuss any new areas of concern and what type of support you are wanting after the intensive experience.
An EMDR Intensive may be right for you if you are….
Ready for more accelerated and effective therapy
Tired of sitting in therapy sessions for weeks, months, years
Starting to think that your 1 hour sessions are too short and you are just getting into things when the session ends
Working a schedule that doesn’t allow for weekly appointments
How Does It Work?
Weekly Intensive Sessions
The Weekly EMDR Intensive Sessions allow clients to go deeper into the therapy process in less time. Clients commit to 3 hour intensive sessions once per week and this amplifies the transformation that they are able to experience. You still have weekly sessions, but each session allows for far more depth, progress, and transformation - giving you relief quicker than traditional 1 hour therapy sessions & reducing the number of sessions necessary for you to reach your treatment goals.
EMDR Intensive Packages
The EMDR Intensive Packages are created for busy people who do not want to wait to see the results of EMDR Therapy over weeks, months, or years. The Intensive Packages allow clients to create an immersive experience, meaning that they step away from their day to day life to truly put all the focus on their mental health and self growth. The depth of processing that can occur in 3 consecutive days of intensive therapy can be truly surprising!

How Do I Decide What’s Right for Me?
-
Does your schedule allow for weekly sessions?
If not, a 3-Day Intensive Package can allow for concentrated therapy in a shorter period of time. Less time, more impact.
-
Do you enjoy having weekly therapy appointments?
If so, then a weekly intensive model may work best for you. You get the increased progress with longer session times and can still enjoy ongoing weekly support.
-
Do you enjoy going very deep into a topic without interruption?
If yes, you may enjoy a 3-Day Intensive. 3 Days completely focused on your healing and growth - deep focus, deep transformation.
-
Do you feel a sense of urgency and want to see progress right away?
If yes, you may consider a 3-Day Intensive because it provides more opportunity for a big change in a short amount of time.
Still not sure which option is best for you?
I would be happy to help you figure it out
